Todd Wilkinson
Todd Wilkinson is a distinguished choral director, conductor, and educator with over three decades of experience leading vocal ensembles to national acclaim. Renowned for his commitment to technical precision, musical excellence, and deep community engagement, Todd has spent his career cultivating vibrant arts programs and inspiring generations of vocalists.
For 34 years, Todd served as the Music Director at Colfax High School, where he built a premier music program and directed its award-winning Chamber Choir.
Under his visionary leadership, his ensembles achieved an unprecedented 25 consecutive Gold Ratings and eight "Most Outstanding Choir" designations at Heritage/World Strides Festivals, ultimately earning Todd an induction into the Heritage Festivals Hall of Fame. A seasoned artistic coordinator, he orchestrated and conducted 29 concert tours, including a landmark performance at New York City’s Carnegie Hall in 2019. His ensembles also maintained a standard of excellence closer to home, earning 16 Unanimous Superior ratings at California Music Educators Association (CMEA) State Festivals.

Beyond his work in public education, Todd’s diverse career includes serving as the Choir Director for the Congregation of Beth Shalom in Sacramento, as well as frequent engagements as an adjudicator and guest conductor for prestigious regional events like the CMEA Junior High Select Honor Choir and the Northern California Superior Choir Festival. An accomplished creative, he also composed the original score for the full-length musical The Trial of Juanita in 2014 and was selected to compete at the National Invitational Choral Festival in Washington, D.C.
Todd’s profound impact on the arts and his community has been recognized with numerous honors, including nine Adjudicator’s Awards for exceptional artistic interpretation, the Arts Council of Placer County’s award for Exemplary Contributions in Arts Education, and the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary Club International in 2026. He remains a passionate advocate for vocal health, choral blend, and the transformative power of music.
