Shay (alto) is a transplant to California from rural Northern Colorado. She loves how music is a universal language that expresses the heart and unites people in ways that cannot be done in words alone. She has fond memories of sitting in a backpack carrier as a toddler while her parents performed with keyboard, drums, and guitar, and later joining them with her brother when older. Shay also loves performing in musical theatre and swing dancing. In her career, she is passionate about creating connections and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds through community development and research. In her free time, she enjoys doing wildlife rehabilitation, photography, and international volunteer work.
