Do you know a child that loves to sing?

Mission Statement:

CVYCC is devoted to cultivating transformative music experiences and education, instilling values of self-discipline and commitment while inspiring the artist within each child through the power of music. The voices of young singers are celebrated and nurtured through a musicianship and vocal training program that includes reading and writing rhythms, interval recognition, diction, tone and vowel formation in a positive and fun choral setting. Serving ages 5–18, the program fosters the pride of accomplishment and joy of participation, producing the next generation of musicians, singers, and music lovers in the community.

Professional musicians will guide your child to:

  • Develop a love for music and confidence in his/her musical abilities;

  • Enhance his/her ability to read music;

  • Create unforgettable, life-shaping experiences in rehearsals and performances;

  • Build relationships with other children who love music and singing;

  • Share his/her gifts with the community; and

  • Have fun!

Each week, our singers come together in small groups and work on a variety of age- appropriate musical challenges, from rhythm and harmony games to note reading, solfège and preparing songs for performance.  At the end of each semester, the young musicians will have performances where each group will share their work and their joy with family and friends.

Past Holiday Concerts
Past Spring Concerts

This comprehensive choral program is open to all children, regardless of musical experience and ability...

The choirs rehearse two semesters each year.  Fall (September through mid-December) and Spring (mid-January through May).  The tuition for each semester is $175 per student.  Parents and singers are asked to commit to one semester at a time, and pay in advance for that semester.  Scholarships and payment plans are available, if needed.  Please communicate with the director to make these arrangements.  Checks can be made to Colla Voce.  Forms and tuition may be sent ahead to Colla Voce, PO Box 3044, Auburn, CA 95604; or turned in at audition or first rehearsal.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

In order to best serve your child, parents are asked to share their talents, and model for the children the importance of music education.  Parents can demonstrate these values by being punctual, respectful and committed.   Parents are asked to volunteer in some capacity during each semester where they feel they can best share their own talents, from helping with marketing, data entry, baking treats to be sold at intermissions, to posting flyers for the concerts.
